Skyy Rock Festival is a celebration combining various genres of Rock n’ Roll with the incorporation of local cultural heritage in one groundbreaking event. It has become an annual event where people in the Southland and other parts of Trinidad can congregate and enjoy two days of music in an ambient setting. The first evening of the event saw big bands Lynchpin and Aeons of Disorder take the main stage. Prior to this, smaller bands such as Feed the Flames, Blackrose, Klavium and many more set the tone and the mood for what was to come. In between sets, patrons visited the sponsor village where tattoos and piercings were being executed. Also, various paraphernalia consisting of tshirts, hats, jewellery and other merchandise were sold. Additionally, patrons also had the opportunity to have their picture taken at the Focus Studios photo booth which was sponsored by Jack Daniels. Jack Daniels also had a VVIP Lounge for band members and specially invited guests where various cocktails were being served up! On the outside, sponsors gave away various prizes for answering simple questions much to the delight of patrons.
