Barefoot Wines were apart of the International Intercostal Beach Cleanup 2017 at Las Cuevas this year. The International Coastal Cleanup Trinidad & Tobago – ICCTT brings organisations and individuals across Trinidad and Tobago together to remove trash and debris from the local beaches and waterways, identify the sources of that debris, and change the behaviors that allow it to reach the ocean in the first place. Volunteers gathered at Las Cuevas from as early as 7:00 a.m., registered, received thrifts, gloves, garbage bags and a short briefing. Throughout the morning, teams scoured the beach collecting garbage, mainly old tyres, debris, bottles and other stuff. Afterwards, all the garbage collected was weighed totaling in excess of 900kg. The evening session was a relaxed one where the Barefoot wines were served to all participants and mini games were played for exciting prizes.
