The International Steelband Foundation (ISF) which comprises of the 5 big bands in steel pan , namely, Massy Trinidad All Stars, Desperadoes, BPtt Renegades, Phase II Pan Groove and Republic Bank Exodus shared the stage at the Queen’s Park Savanah on Saturday night at the much-anticipated Big 5 Steelband Concert. Len “Boogsie” Sharpe, steelband composer and musical director of Phase II Pan Groove debuted the ISF theme song at the concert which received high applause from the scores of patrons attending. Each band performed 35-minute sets that included surprise guest appearances. Despite inclement weather, lovers of pan musical ensemble came out in their numbers with coolers in tow and high spirits.
