The Journey of a Soca King took patrons down memory lane, back to the 80’s where a young boy began his musical passage of time. In a packed stadium with eager fans, there was no shortage of performances as artistes graced the stage one after the other. Tributes were paid to Calypso Rose form the icons of soca and calypso and Indian culture. Artistes came from far and wide, and encompassed many regional performers who came with Machel Montano to showcase his journey. The night ended on a high note as the Vikings, Bunji Garlin and Machel shared the main stage together, creating musical history.
