Members of the media were invited to the media launch of UWI’s 2019 fete with the theme Champagne and Gold. Southex in conjunction with the UWI Development and Endowment Fund Committee will be coordinating UWI’s 2019 All Inclusive Fete. Proceeds from this event are geared towards providing scholarships and bursaries to students at the university. To date, over 16 million dollars has been provided in this aspect to students in need. George Singh, Event Manager for the event indicated that the theme Champagne and Gold will add that touch of sophistication to the event. The theme will also be reflective of patrons as women are asked to add a touch of gold to their attire and men dressed in white. One can expect an extravagant themed entrance, themed tents, a concept designed stage and venue layout. A beauty bar, massage rooms, drink stations, a bubbles lounge, champagne cocktails bar featuring bellinis, mimosas, sgroppinos, champagne spritzers and champagne mojitos, an extensive food line up will all compliment the theme. Artiste line-up for next year includes Kes the Band, Dil-E-Nadan, Nailah Blackman, Ravi B, Laventille Rhythm Section, popular DJs and coming closer to date other surprise artistes will be announced. Early bird tickets go on sale from Monday 12th November, 2018 at $1000. Regular priced tickets are $1100.
